Learning Theories

My Theoretical Approach

I like to use a variety of learning theories in developing courses. Different theories help to address different learner needs. It really depends on the context for which the training is intended as well.  While social construction of knowledge is a research area of mine and a valuable framework for instructional design, I use elements of each of these depending on the situation and needs of the training I am designing.  All of these theories have applicability in both workplace learning and academic learning.
